As if I needed another place to buy nail polish. Elle Cosmetics, found exclusively at Kohl’,s, offers a generous collection of nail lacquers for the polish connoisseur. Each lacquer comes in a 3 FL oz. square shaped bottle with a normal sized brush. Each polish retails for $10. I received three shades for review: Imperial Purple, Red Carpet Red, and Blush Stroke
;
Imperial Purple is a rich frost lacquer that went on smooth. I applied two coats and had no problems with streaking. I really liked the hint of silver shimmer that is provided by the frost.
;
Blush Stroke is the perfect nude for someone who wants to wear polish but doesn’t want the hassle of color. Blush stroke was so light that even after three coats it still didn’t really show up on my nails. This polish went on great without any problems of clumping or streaking.
;
Red Carpet Red is a true vixen red shade that I believe would have looked amazing on my nails had a I had some hang time instead of nubbs. The only problem I had with this shade is that it did not apply evenly and when I went back for the second coat it was very streaky, hints why my cuticles look in such disarray. I believe that the polish may be on the thick side and adding a bit of nail polish thinner may do the trick.
;
At $10 a bottle I’m not completely sold especially since China Glaze and O.P.I offer at least .5fl oz for $8 or less. The high price tag may be due to the fact that these polishes are a line made by Elle Magazine. There are however over 21 shades to choose from so check em out, you might just find your perfect color! Elle Cosmetics Nail Lacquer can be found exclusively at Kohl’s!

These are great colors! But I just had to comment on the little cartoon in your blog header. It’s hilarious and completely adorable! I love it!
