Hands down, Zoya has the best textured polish nail polish. I’ve tried several other brands but none come close to Zoya’s formula. I’ve been trying my hardest to grow my nails out so that I can get great swatches of these gorgeous polishes, but no avail. Life has been skressful! Yes, I said skressful. My PhD program has decided to turn up, or I’m just so vested that I end up biting all my nails off when things don’t work out the way I want them to. This is a daily occurrence unfortunately. I did notice that this formula dried way faster than the other Pixie Dust collections. By the time I was done with the last finger on one hadn I could go back and do a second coat and not worry about clumping or smearing. Without further ado, I give you the Zoya Magical Pixie Dust
Zoya is going natural! Their next collection, to be released Jan 1st 2014 is going to be my absolute favorite. As I’m getting older I’m finding myself leaning toward more natural and neutral shades. The natural nail only better… The Zoya Nail Polish Naturel collection masters delicate tone on tone color with six new, full-coverage (opaque) neutral nudes with a pink undertone, that can be worn beautifully alone or stunningly together to create modern tonal accents. The Look: It’s not about matching – it’s about coordinating colors with slight tonal differences to create interest.
Zoya’s new winter collection titled “Zenith” has a couple of gorgeous colors. There are two that I know for sure you should own. Since I have nubs I’ll keep the picture limited to just the collage below. I’m still not a fan of polishing nails with nubbs but hey someone has to do it! Zoya Cassedy: Celestial Silver Metallic Zoya Belinda: Cosmic Purple Metallic Zoya Seraphina: Polaris Silver Metallic: This color is a bit streaky Zoya Payton: Galatic Cranberry With Holographic Glitter: YOU MUST OWN THIS ONE! It’s a bit of a jelly polish but a couple of coats will have you in awe! Zoya Dream: Deep Space blue with Holographic Glitter: I feel the same way about this particular polish as I do about Payton. YOU MUST OWN THIS! Zoya Mosheen: Astro Ice Blue Topper The Zoya Holiday Zenith Collection can be found at Zoya.com and
I’ve owned this color for a while but I’ve yet to use it. Since I’m no longer a member of team #nubbnation I decided to allow this gorgeous Caribbean sea blue to grace my nails. The Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure brand came out with several blue shades and while I was browsing the new nail polishes at WalGreens Sally Hansen Calypso Blue was the prettiest one that caught my eye. Sally Hansen’s Calypso Blue goes on sheer with it’s first coat. I was a little nervous it was going to be that way after I added additional coats, but after the second coat everything was going in the right direction. Since we just purchased our first home we didn’t take a vacation this year. After painting my nails I just stared at my polish and imagined be somewhere other then my house. It worked for a few
For this edition of Makeup Wars we’re talking our Favorite Purple Polish I’m not a huge fan of plain purple polish but I love a purple polish that has an extra bit of oomph to it! When going through my stash to pick out my favorite purple polish I had it narrowed down between three, OPI DS “Temptation”, Zoya’s Pixiedust in “Carter” and Orly “Fowl Play”. After a bout of inny minny minnie moe I finally narrowed it down to Orly’s Fowl Play. What I like about this nail polish is that it is a warm brown purple that has a bit of everything mixed within it. You get shimmer, sparkle and duochrome flecks so it’s kind of like 3 polishes in one. In order to get really great full coverage I used three coats, allowing the polish to dry a couple of minutes in between each coat. Notice how

I may be a bit behind on these swatches but it doesn’t matter because aren’t these amazing! This collection is absolutely amazing and I’m so glad my Qualifier is over and I had time to play with them. The Zoya Irresistible collection features six summeresque colors loaded with shimmer. Thie collection compliments the Zoya Summer Pixidust collection very well. Zoya has always comes out with some of the best shades. Whenever I polish m nails with Zoya polish I find that they grow faster (hint hint). Since you’ve see these all over the intranets I won’t spoil you with much details. They sale individually for $8 or you can purchase the set for $48 at Zoya.com. I honestly suggest you grab the entire set. My top choices from this collection are Hazel and Bobbi. Hazel reminds me so much of my favorite pigment “Blue Brown” by MAC. Bobbi is just a

So when Zoya first sent these lovely gorgeous melt in your mouth polishes over for me to review I couldn’t because I had some major nubbage going on. After what felt like a century my nubbs have finally grown long enough for me to give you guys some pretty good swatches of the new Zoya Pixie Dust for the coming Summer. Let me just say if you fell in love with the first release of Zoya’s Pixie Dust line you are going to be WITH CHILD over these babies! The textured nail trend has been seen everywhere but I can honestly say that Zoya was the only one to get it absolutely right. Giving a Nail Polish God fearing hoarder everything she needs all wrapped up in one simple formula. The Zoya Pixie Dust Summer Collection features six brand new colors, the only color that I would have loved to
L’oreal Miss Candy Collection is a whole lot of colorful fun. I received 4 nail polishes from the collection for review. There are 7 colors in this collection not pictured are a pretty nice orange, green and yellow. I must warn you of two things before we get to the swatches. 1. I have nubbs.. I know I know I can’t help it my nails just keep darn breaking! 2. These are jellies, if you don’t like jelly polishes then read no further. However, I must warn you the blue one is pretty epic! Bubble Trouble A bubblicious bubble gum cotton candy pinkk jelly. Jolly Lolly Jolly Lolly reminds of me the candy red hots. It’s a gorgeous cherry red color. Miss Pixie Miss Pixie is pretty darn epic. I never expected a jelly blue to look the way this one does. I absolutely love love love it and
