Okay so you guys know that I am re-transitioning. We are officially on month number 5! The first time time transitioned I big chopped at 5 months. I am currently trying to make it a year before I BC so I don’t go through that awkward too long/too short phase. Plus, I hate headbands. At my age I think headbands should be let go, but that’s for another post. In between sew in installs I’ve been needing a way to style my hair. My roots just won’t let me be great and I don’t like to use a lot
[colored_box color="grey"]Affiliate Link[/colored_box] Liptars are the best things on earth. Honestly it’s like the were made from the dust of Unicorns and Pixie Dust. Some people may be a little skeptical about the LipTars because of the large range of colors and the name. First off, Liptars.. well they aren’t tars. They are a very highly pigmented lip pigment that sorta mimicks a lipstick or a lip stain. Lip Tars are so highly pigmented that the OCC had to restructure the packaging and include a lip brush. You only need a small dab and your life will be changed.
This is how I feel when I put on Skinny Jeans.. Like a fat cat trying to squeeze into something that was never made for me in the first place. I just can’t get into this while “Skinny Jean” craze. While I am not obese I am neither slim and trim. I am just a average girl with a average body. I have curves, a small sized “donkey booty” and there is no gap when I stand with my legs together. I have what some would call an average american body. This past weekend I went shopping with my husband.
Perfume, I think the older I get the more and more I fall in love with the various scents. I’ve always been more of a spicy/woodsy type of girl. Even with my Spring and Summer scents I tend to always look for that hint of spice. Photograph by John Russo was a nice break from my normal routine. Celebrity Photographer John Russo has photographed all of Hollywoods Biggest Stars. His work has been featured on covers of Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, Marie Claire, GQ & Esquire. He has shot Brad Pitt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio,
The Xlash challenged has commenced!! Remember that post I did about whether or not Xlash could help me grow longer and thicker lashes? No? Well here it is for you to go back and read in case you haven’t. I received my tube of Xlash in the mail and for the next four weeks I will be using this and monitoring the growth of my lashes. The product claims “longer thicker lashes” but I’ll let you, my readers be the judge of that. I will be applying Xlash both morning and night for the next four weeks and taking pictures
This post is brought to you by Monster Headphones and BlogHer. I spend a lot of time in my beauty room swatching various products. Nail Polish, eye shadow, or lipstick you name it I’m swatching it. Usually when I’m having my swatchfest I put on my Emeli Sande Pandora station and I sing and swatch to my hearts content. Our house is older so the walls aren’t that thick so I usually find my husband becoming pretty annoyed with the volume of my music. I think we’ve finally found a solution to this problem…Monster NCredible N-Tune On-Ear Headphones!! The Monster
I love a good Matte lipstick, especially for fall. When MAC Cosmetics unveiled their Retro Matte line of lipsticks I wanted to yell “Buy all the Lipsticks!!” However, I refrained and I scrutinized each color description trying to figure out which ones I just had to have in my life. Out of 8 I narrowed it down to 3 since I already owned Rih Rih Woo. The Retro Mac Collection was released back in September. It is a Limited Edition Collection (but isn’t everything) that featured 8 lipstick shades and 8 corresponding lipliners. The mate lipsticks are a bit

[colored_box color="blue"]Product Provided by Stur [/colored_box] So about a month and a half ago I decided that I would give up all drinking caffeine or juices and only drink water. This was pretty easy since I actually love water, but I did miss the feeling of drinking a carbonated soda. I didn’t want to use anything like Mio or those other drops because they have tons of artificial flavoring and or sugar substitutes. I wanted something that was good but also good for me. It was like the fitness Gods were looking down on me because I was given
Is Blonde the new Black? This is a question I’ve been asking myself as I see more and more celebrities drop the dark hues and opt for bolder do’s. Many will argue that blonde hair does not look good on African American women and that they should leave this look to our fairer skinned counterparts, but I for one do not agree! The more I see these women of color sporting these gorgeous coifs the more I want to jump in the salon chair and say lighten me up! Blonde hair is not only gorgeous, but it is a lot
So for the past two days I’ve been posting pictures of this mystery lipstick on my Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. If someone could correctly guess the brand and color I was going to give them their very own. I already knew people wouldn’t have a clue as to what it was but I enjoyed watching them guess. One young lady guessed the correct brand but never listed the color! She was so close. Now that I’ve had time to really wear the lipstick and swatch the remaining colors I more than happy to introduce to you the Iman Cosmetics Lip
Everyone women wants long, thick, and flirty lashes. Actually, my husbands lashes look better than my own. I always jokingly ask him if I can have his lashes. So when Xlash, the maker of the Xlash Eyelash Enhancer, approached me about possibly doing a review of their product I was a little hesitant at first because I don’t like putting oils around my eyes, but after I saw that they used all natural products and saw the great reviews I thought this would be an excellent opportunity for me to try out a new product and hopefully grow some lashes while
